Our launch system by sliding the sliding button (or slider) is based on a clever mechanism designed to translate the sliding speed of the slider into propulsion force for the wheel. Thus, the speed and duration of the wheel's rotation entirely depend on your interaction with the slider. This method reproduces the natural physical behavior of a wheel, offering a unique and particularly immersive experience.
Regarding the launch system by sliding the sliding button (or slider), we have adjusted the rotation sensitivity of the wheel to the sliding speed of the slider so that it is high enough to ensure synchronization of the rotation with the velocity of the gesture while respecting the browser's computing capacities. Note that, like a physical draw wheel, a longer rotation duration will reinforce the random nature of the result. However, be careful to preserve your device by avoiding unnecessarily abrupt gestures.
Regarding the launch system by pressing the clickable button, we use the deterministic algorithm Math.random() to generate two pseudo-random values within a given range. The first value determines the wheel's acceleration factor and the second sets the maximum rotation speed reached by the wheel after the acceleration phase.
Whichever launch mode you choose, you have the possibility to customize, in the settings, the level of friction applied to the wheel during its deceleration phase. The higher the friction level, the shorter the wheel will spin.
Before each draw, you can shuffle the order of participants on the wheel using the dedicated button. However, using this feature will not statistically impact the results of your draws. Its purpose is limited to enhancing the perception of fairness among participants.
Our algorithm constantly assists you in your draw sessions by gradually updating the content of the wheel if necessary, and by automatically detecting inevitable draw situations.
